Every year, more brands in Turkey move to Shopify. Brands migrating from Ticimax, ikas, IdeaSoft, T-Soft or Akinon, D2C startups that want to sell abroad, and global brands targeting the Turkish market all face the same question: "Which Shopify agency should we work with?"

In this guide, we look at the Shopify ecosystem in Turkey, what Shopify Partner tiers mean, what a Shopify agency actually does, how costs are formed, and the leading Shopify agencies in Turkey one by one. The information is based on the agencies' public Shopify Partner Directory profiles and our 7 years of hands-on experience.

Short answer: When choosing a Shopify agency in Turkey, look at three things: (1) Shopify Partner tier and verified client reviews, (2) live reference stores in your industry and at your scale, (3) local experience with ERP, marketplace, shipping and e-invoicing integrations. In this article, we compare Byte Digital, Holly Palm, DigiFist, Digital Pals and Nove Solutions against these criteria.

1. Shopify in Turkey: where do things stand in 2026?

For a long time, Shopify was seen in Turkey as "the platform for brands that sell abroad." That perception has changed considerably in recent years. Today, Shopify merchants in Turkey include category leaders from chocolate to furniture and from apparel to outdoor gear.

There are several reasons behind this shift:

  • Global scalability: Separate languages, currencies and price lists for Turkey, Europe, the Gulf and the US can be managed from a single admin (Shopify Markets).

  • Strong app ecosystem: Thousands of ready-made apps, from email marketing to loyalty programs and from subscriptions to product personalization.

  • Performance and security: Hosting, scaling, security and PCI compliance are managed by Shopify. No separate server planning is needed for traffic spikes during campaigns.

  • B2B and wholesale: With Shopify Plus's built-in B2B features, dealer and wholesale portals can run on the same platform.

  • Mature local integrations: Proven integration methods now exist for Turkish payment providers, shipping carriers, e-invoicing providers and ERP systems.

On the other hand, Turkey has its own requirements: Shopify Payments is not offered to companies registered in Turkey, customers expect installment payments, e-invoice/e-archive obligations apply, ERP systems (SAP, Nebim, Logo, Mikro, DİA and more) are widespread, and marketplaces (Trendyol, Hepsiburada, Amazon) account for a large share of sales. That is why choosing the right Shopify agency can matter even more than choosing the platform in Turkey.

2. What is a Shopify agency and what does it do?

A Shopify agency is a specialist team that builds stores on Shopify, improves existing stores, migrates brands from other platforms to Shopify, and provides the technical and marketing support a store needs to grow. The services of a good Shopify agency usually fall under these headings:

Store setup and design

  • Choosing a Shopify theme or custom theme development from scratch (Liquid, Online Store 2.0, sections/blocks architecture)

  • UX/UI design, mobile-first design, an interface that fits the brand identity

  • Setting up product, collection, filter and menu structures

Platform migration

  • Migrating products, variants, customers, order history and content

  • 301 redirects and preserving SEO value

  • Rebuilding custom functionality from the old platform on Shopify

Integrations and custom apps

  • ERP integrations (stock, price, order and invoice synchronization)

  • Marketplace, shipping, payment and e-invoicing integrations

  • Shopify Functions, Checkout Extensibility and custom apps

  • Headless (Hydrogen) projects

Growth and marketing

  • SEO and GEO (visibility in AI search)

  • Performance marketing (Meta, Google Ads)

  • Email and SMS marketing, automations

  • Conversion rate optimization (CRO), A/B testing

Ongoing support

  • Technical maintenance through monthly hour packages or retainers

  • New feature development, campaign preparation, bug fixing

What is the difference between a Shopify agency and a freelancer? A single freelancer can be enough for small setups and theme edits. But when ERP integration, a multi-country setup, a B2B portal or high-traffic campaign periods are involved, you need a team that combines project management, design, frontend, backend, QA and marketing. Agencies also guarantee continuity if a developer leaves.

3. Shopify Partner tiers: Select, Plus, Premier, Platinum

"Shopify Partner" alone does not say much, because anyone can join the Shopify Partner program for free. What really sets agencies apart is the partner tier Shopify shows in its Partner Directory. Shopify assigns these tiers based on the business volume agencies generate on Shopify, client satisfaction and expertise criteria:

Tier

What does it mean?

Select

Partners producing regular, verified work on Shopify.

Plus

Higher-volume partners with proven experience working with Shopify Plus stores.

Premier

Partners working on enterprise-scale projects and with high-volume Plus clients.

Platinum

A limited number of partners running the largest and most complex Shopify projects worldwide.

Practical tip: Check an agency's partner tier directly in the Shopify Partner Directory, not from the logos on its own website. The directory profile shows the agency's tier, how long it has been a partner, the languages it serves, featured projects and verified reviews that only real Shopify merchants can leave.

The partner tier is an important signal, but it is not enough on its own (Why work with a Shopify Plus Partner agency?). A higher-tier agency may not assign its most senior team to a project of your size, while a lower-tier agency may have much deeper experience in your industry. That is why the tier should be evaluated together with review count, references and team structure.

4. Leading Shopify agencies in Turkey

We selected the agencies below based on having a team or office in Turkey, a verified Shopify Partner Directory profile and live projects with Turkish brands. The information is based on data published on the agencies' Shopify Partner Directory profiles as of November 2026. The order is not a ranking; for each agency we note its strengths and who it suits.

6. 12 key questions to ask when choosing a Shopify agency

Ask every agency the same questions when collecting proposals and compare the answers side by side. That way you compare value, not just price.

  1. Where is your Shopify Partner Directory profile, and what are your tier and verified review count?

  2. Which live stores have you built in our industry and at our scale? Ask for store names and browse them yourself; test speed, mobile experience and the checkout flow.

  3. Have you integrated with our ERP before? If you use Nebim, Logo, SAP, Mikro or DİA, ask whether the agency has a live project with that system.

  4. How will you build the integration? A ready-made connector, custom middleware, or the ERP vendor's solution? Clarify who will own maintenance and error monitoring.

  5. Who will be on the team? Find out whether the project manager, designers and developers are agency employees or outsourced.

  6. Ready-made theme or custom theme? Ask them to explain the differences in cost, speed and maintenance.

  7. How will you protect SEO during migration? Ask about URL mapping, the 301 redirect plan, structured data (schema) and post-launch monitoring.

  8. What are the project timeline and milestones? Ask for dated steps for design approval, development, data migration, testing and launch.

  9. How does support work after launch? Learn about the warranty period, monthly hour packages, response times and support channels.

  10. Who will own the code and accounts? The theme code, custom apps and all accounts should be in the brand's name.

  11. How many additional apps do you recommend, and what do they cost per month? More apps affect both cost and page speed.

  12. How will you set up payments, shipping and e-invoicing? If you sell in Turkey, these three are the most critical parts of the project.

7. Shopify agency pricing: how are costs formed?

There is no single answer to "How much does a Shopify store setup cost?" Costs can vary several times over depending on the following factors:

Factors that determine cost

  • Theme approach: Customizing a ready-made theme is much faster and more affordable than building a custom theme from scratch.

  • Product and data volume: The scope of data migration, from a few hundred products to tens of thousands of variants.

  • Number and complexity of integrations: ERP, marketplace, shipping, e-invoicing and CRM integrations are usually the largest budget item.

  • Multi-language / multi-country setup: A single store with Shopify Markets, or separate stores per country (expansion stores)?

  • B2B and custom functionality: Dealer portals, custom price lists, product configurators, loyalty programs.

  • Shopify plan: Shopify Plus offers enterprise features but has a higher monthly platform fee.

Common pricing models

Model

How does it work?

Who is it for?

Fixed-price project

Scope is defined upfront and a total price is set.

Setup and migration projects with a clear scope

Hourly / hour package

Prepaid hours are used as needed.

Ongoing development and maintenance

Monthly retainer

A set capacity is reserved for a fixed monthly fee.

Brands wanting ongoing development + marketing

Growth marketing services

For reference, among international agencies DigiFist lists a range of USD 5,000 – 350,000 for platform migration projects on its Shopify Partner Directory profile. The width of this range shows how much scope affects price.

Watch out for hidden costs: Always add the monthly Shopify plan, app subscriptions, payment provider commissions, e-invoicing provider fees and the post-launch maintenance budget to your total cost of ownership (TCO).

8. How does a Shopify project work step by step?

A typical project with a professional Shopify agency consists of these stages:

  1. Discovery and analysis (1–2 weeks): Business goals, current platform, integration needs, SEO inventory and competitor analysis.

  2. Scope and technical architecture: Theme approach, app list, integration method, Markets setup and data model (metafields, metaobjects).

  3. UX/UI design: Mobile-first design of home, category, product, cart and content pages.

  4. Development: Theme development, custom sections, Shopify Functions and Checkout Extensibility customizations.

  5. Integrations: Setting up and testing ERP, marketplace, shipping, payment and e-invoicing connections.

  6. Data migration and SEO: Migrating products, customers and order history, URL mapping and 301 redirects.

  7. Testing (QA): Testing on different devices and browsers, end-to-end order tests, performance measurements.

  8. Launch: Domain switch, final data sync, verification of tracking codes.

  9. Post-launch monitoring and growth: Search Console monitoring, error tracking, CRO work and marketing.

For a mid-size store, this process usually takes 6–12 weeks; enterprise projects with extensive ERP integration and a multi-country setup take 3–6 months.

9. Turkey-specific topics: payments, ERP, marketplaces, shipping, e-invoicing

What most distinguishes Shopify projects in Turkey from global examples is local integrations. When choosing an agency, be sure to question its experience in these areas.

Payments

Because Shopify Payments is not offered to companies registered in Turkey, integration with Turkish payment providers is required. Of the 100 Turkish Shopify stores we analyzed, 94 accept payments through iyzico, PayTR or Craftgate. Smooth installment options, 3D Secure flows and refund processes directly affect conversion rates.

ERP integration

Most brands in Turkey manage stock, pricing and accounting through an ERP. The most common systems:

  • SAP (enterprise brands)

  • Nebim (especially apparel and retail)

  • Logo and Mikro (SMEs and mid-size companies)

  • DİA (cloud-based ERP)

A well-designed integration provides near real-time stock and price synchronization, automatic order transfer to the ERP and invoice data flowing back.

Marketplace integration

For brands selling on marketplaces such as Trendyol, Hepsiburada, Amazon, Çiçeksepeti and Pazarama, managing products, stock, prices and orders in sync with Shopify significantly reduces the operational workload.

Shipping and e-invoicing

Automatic shipment creation with shipping carriers, sending tracking numbers to customers and setting up e-invoice / e-archive processes in line with legal requirements must be solved before going live in Turkey.

10. Replatforming: migrating to Shopify from Ticimax, ikas, IdeaSoft and Akinon

A large share of Shopify projects in Turkey are migrations from another platform. What to watch for in a successful migration:

  • URL structure: Every platform has a different URL structure. On Shopify, products live under /products/ and collections under /collections/. A 301 redirect plan should be prepared for all old URLs.

  • Variant limits and data model: Map variants, options and custom fields from the old platform to their Shopify equivalents (variants, metafields, metaobjects) in advance.

  • Customer accounts: Passwords cannot be migrated for security reasons; an account activation flow should be planned for customers.

  • Order history: Migrating past orders matters for customer service and loyalty programs.

  • Custom functionality: Custom campaign rules, bundles or special pricing on the old platform should be rebuilt with Shopify Functions and apps.

  • Launch timing: Choose a date away from campaign periods (November sales, end-of-season sales).

Our platform-specific migration guides: migrating to Shopify from Ticimax, ikas, IdeaSoft and T-Soft.

11. The most common mistakes when choosing a Shopify agency

  1. Looking only at price. The lowest bid is often the one with the most incomplete scope; the gaps come back as extra costs during the project.

  2. Deciding without browsing references. Test the speed and mobile experience of reference stores yourself.

  3. Leaving integrations to the end. If ERP and payment integrations are not planned at the start, the launch gets delayed.

  4. Installing too many apps. Every new app means extra JavaScript and a monthly fee; many needs can be met more efficiently in the theme or with a custom app.

  5. Leaving SEO out of the migration plan. A migration with missing redirects can wipe out years of organic traffic in weeks.

  6. Not planning post-launch support. A Shopify store is not a one-off project but a constantly evolving sales channel.

  7. Opening accounts in the agency's name. The Shopify store, domain and all third-party accounts should be in the brand's name.

12. Frequently asked questions

Can Shopify be used in Turkey?

Yes. Shopify can be used in Turkey; the Turkish interface, selling in Turkish lira and a Turkish checkout are supported. Because Shopify Payments is not offered to companies registered in Turkey, payments are collected through integrations with Turkish payment providers such as iyzico, PayTR or Craftgate.

What does a Shopify agency do?

A Shopify agency provides store setup, theme design and development, migration from other platforms to Shopify, ERP/marketplace/shipping integrations, custom app development and growth services such as SEO and performance marketing.

What is the difference between a Shopify Partner and a Shopify Plus Partner?

Anyone can join the Shopify Partner program. The Plus, Premier and Platinum tiers are awarded by Shopify based on an agency's business volume, Shopify Plus experience and client satisfaction. You can verify an agency's tier in the Shopify Partner Directory.

Which is the best Shopify agency in Turkey?

The "best" agency depends on your needs. For brands of every size, from startups to enterprises, looking for enterprise-quality service, ERP and marketplace integrations, Turkish-language support and a broad reference base, consider Byte Digital; for migrations from enterprise platforms, Holly Palm; for international growth, especially in the Gulf, DigiFist; for fashion D2C and growth marketing, Digital Pals; and for B2B-focused Plus migrations, Nove Solutions.

How long does a Shopify store setup take?

A store built on a ready-made theme with few integrations can go live in 3–6 weeks; a mid-size store with custom design and ERP integration in 6–12 weeks; multi-country projects with enterprise integrations in 3–6 months.

Will we lose SEO when moving from Ticimax or ikas to Shopify?

A well-planned migration does not cause permanent SEO loss. Redirecting all old URLs to their Shopify equivalents with 301s, migrating metadata and structured data, and monitoring Search Console after launch are critical.

Can Shopify be integrated with Nebim, Logo or SAP?

Yes. Thanks to Shopify's APIs, stock, price, order and invoice synchronization can be set up with Nebim, Logo, SAP, Mikro, DİA and many other ERP systems. The integration method (ready-made connector or custom middleware) is chosen based on the brand's data volume and processes.

When should I move to Shopify Plus?

Shopify Plus makes sense when you reach high order volumes, need B2B/wholesale, need to customize checkout, or want to manage separate stores for multiple countries.

Conclusion

The Shopify ecosystem in Turkey has matured: many companies, from enterprise retailers to fast-growing D2C brands, choose Shopify, and there are experienced agencies to run these projects. The way to choose the right agency is to check partner tiers and verified reviews, review live references at your scale, and especially question experience with Turkey-specific integrations such as ERP, payments, marketplaces and e-invoicing.
